Five Course Food & Wine Pairing with Chef

Join Winemaker Thomas Nye and Exectuive Chef Christopher Dutka for a five course food and wine pairing at The Grape Escape on January 20 at 7:30 PM. Chef Dutka will prepare a five course dinner for you with each course paired with wines from around the world. Chef Dutka is the owner of Christopher's Kichen which is a top Monmouth County catering service. The Grape Escape has been working with him for years at our corporate events that we host at the winery and wanted to share him with you.

The evening begins with a wine tasting directly from our barrels. Try a Chardonnay from the Russian River in California or a Montepulciano from Italy…directly from the barrel. We’ll discuss each region, how the wines are made and the intricacies of tasting wine properly for full enjoyment.

As each course is presented to you, we will match a specific wine to each course and discuss how and why the wines match. As a gift, every ticket will also go home with a bottle of our award winning Olive Oil, courtesy of The Grape Escape. The cost is $85 a person or $160 for a couple (gratuity included.) First Course - Butternut squash risotto cake, sage cream, balsamic syru, amaretti cookie

Second Course - Fennel peppercorn seared tuna, butter beans, wilted arugula, roasted tomatoes, sherry vinegar

Third Course - Baby spinach, crispy pancetta, olives, Manchego cheese, peppadews, champagne vinaigrette

Fourth Course - Jamaican braised boneless beef short rib, parsnip puree, truffle essence

Fifth Course - Mascarpone crepes cake, merlot poached cherries, shaved chocolate, basil syrup

Chef Christopher Dutka has built his stellar repuation as a wedding caterer and personal chef. Chris has worked with The Grape Escape for many of our corporate team building events, awing our clients with his inspired creations.
