Famous Steakhouse to Welcome Grape Escape Customers to Bring in Their Hand-made Wine
August 11, 2008 - Dayton, NJ – The Grape Escape has partnered with legendary steakhouse Ruth’s Chris of Princeton, New Jersey. Grape Escape customers will be allowed to bring in their Grape Escape hand-made wines on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays at the Princeton, NJ Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse with no corkage fee. This is a tremendous opportunity to marry the excellence of fine dining with the incredible wines made right here in Dayton, NJ.
At The Grape Escape, area residents will learn the art and science of creating fine red or white wines, using some of the finest grapes in the world. They participate in crushing grapes, pressing must, barreling the wine, and bottling their own premium wine, in an enjoyable relaxed atmosphere. Additionally, they have the opportunity to personalize their bottles with customized labels.
This unique experience only takes 3-4 sessions over a 10 month period, totaling 4-5 hours of hands-on winemaking. Winemakers can make their own wine for their own personal enjoyment, for special occasions such as holidays, weddings, reunions, or for personal and client gifts. It is a fun and casual environment which is perfect for sharing with friends, family and co-workers.
The Grape Escape was the first to offer such a variety of premium grapes from five regions. From South America, customers can choose grapes from either Curico Valley, Chile or Mendoza Argentina. From California, customers can choose between the three renowned regions of Napa Valley, Sonoma and the Sierra Foothills. The Dayton hands-on winery was also the first to offer three different barrel choices (American Oak, Hungarian Oak and French Oak) to its customers. Along with choosing which type of oak barrel to age the wine in, the customer also has the flexibility to age the wine for 1,2 or 3 years. These flexible winemaking options brought flexibility and choice to the consumers never before available.
“The Grape Escape has sought to partner with the best local restaurants. We were adamant about seeking a relationship with Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse as soon as we heard they were coming to Princeton. Their history and legacy suggests excellence and we are proud to be associated with that legacy. ” Said Thomas Nye, co-owner of The Grape Escape.
“With over 40,000 bottles produced annually at The Grape Escape, our customers seek out the best restaurants where they can enjoy their wine. Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse is an extension of our trusted relationships The Grape Escape has built with some of the best restaurants in the area.” Said Nancy Nye, co-owner.
